If you think something on Re:Vault uses your work without permission, tell us. A person will look at it.
What we can act on
We can remove or turn off anything Re:Vault itself hosts or lists. That includes the games and books in the Books library, Worksheets, wallpapers and looks, shortcuts, and posts in Study Hall and the forum.
Websites someone opens in a Re:Vault tab aren't stored by us. They come from their own servers, so a notice about a website's content needs to go to that website.
How to send a notice
Email hello@ajhsvault.org with "Copyright notice" as the subject, and include:
- Your name, mailing address, phone number and email, and who you act for if it isn't you.
- The work you say is being copied.
- Exactly where it is on Re:Vault, with a link or the steps to find it.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't allowed by the owner, their agent or the law.
- A statement that your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you own the right or may act for its owner.
- Your signature. A typed name is fine.
What happens next
If the notice is complete and it's about something Re:Vault hosts or lists, we remove it or turn it off and, if a person posted it, let them know. We may write back if we need more detail. Accounts that keep posting other people's work can lose the ability to post.
If your post was removed
If you think that was a mistake, email the same address. Give your name, your contact details, what was removed and where it was, and why you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentified.
About this page
Re:Vault hasn't filed a designated agent with the US Copyright Office yet, so this page doesn't name one. Email is how to reach us about copyright until then. Sending a notice you know is false can carry legal penalties, and this page isn't legal advice.
Re:Vault is built on open-source software. The licenses are on the About page. Any other questions: Contact.
